Apple sold 54 million iPhones in 2015 Q2 but iPad sales were down by 33.5 percent

Estimated statistics released by KGI Securities show that Apple iPhone sales are still booming while the iPad faces a sharp decline.
The research firm explains that Apple might have shipped 54.2 million phones during the last quarter that ended June 2015. During the same period, 8.8 million iPads, 5.4 million Macintosh computers and 3.9 million Apple Watches sailed as well.
In contrast to iPhone sales which went up by 54 percent when compared to last year’s Q2, iPad sales suffered a 33.5 percent decline, no thanks to the surging rise of smartphones with big displays of which the Apple iPhone 6 Plus is a massive part of.
The analyst predicts that Apple will be able to sling some 15 million Apple Watches in total before the end of the year. Another part of the forecast suggests that Apple might run into production issues with the new Force Touch technology in Quarter 4, causing a shortage of supply.

Zauba listing suggests remake of 2014’s Samsung Galaxy Prime

In the year 2014, Samsung released a device that was named Galaxy Prime and this 5 inches’ smartphone has its resolution set at 540 x 960, used a quad core CPU that was carrying 1.5GB of RAM, coupled up with an 8GB internal storage and had its cameras set at 8MP on the back and 5MP on the front, to mention but a few. In the wake of rebranding that Samsung has recently been doing on its phones, it seems that this device has also entered the race to get a 2016 remake.
Based on a report from Zauba, the device which is being tested and carries a model number SM-G523F would still be retaining its 5-inch screen but we don’t know at what resolution it would be coming this year.
Also, the rating on Zauba puts the import price of the phone at a price of $103 which although does not suggest the actual price of the device, gives an insight into suggesting that it would end up as a mid-range smartphone.

HP Elite x3 smartphone to sell in the US, European, African markets

Maybe HP is best known for their efforts in the personal computer manufacturing industry but all that is set to change now with the release of the HP Elite x3 – the company’s new and latest in the smart devices category. They are also looking to be a force to be reckoned with in the smartphone market.
Already, there has been news of the device coming in at a price of $799 but now, that has been confirmed to be a misconstruction and the Elite Book would instead be costing $699. By the end of this month (July), the windows 10 powered smartphone would be ready for worldwide shipment.
If you are in the United States and you would love yourself one of these devices, the starting price is the standard as quoted above at $699 and for customers in the European, African and middle eastern parts of the world, they would be retailing for €699.
The HP Elite x3 also offers some bumper packages alongside the standalone pack which can see you get an additional headset and a desk dock at the price of $799 in American markets and €729 in other listed markets above worldwide. However, this package won’t be available for shipping until the 29th of August.
Throughout its market stay, HP has already identified 47 diverse counters where the device would be launched for sale.

Chuwi V10 Plus, Notebook/Tablet hybrid, runs the Remix OS 2.

The device, which comes at a screen size of 10.8 inches focuses it’s operation on not one platform but two, blended to form the single Remix OS 2.0. Opting for the Chuwi V10 Plus means that not only would you be getting some Android Lollipop features, there are also Windows 10 specifications in there.
Speaking of hardware, there are two variants of the V10 Plus, the first carrying a 2GB RAM married to a 32GB internal storage while the second goes double all the way, having a 4GB RAM on top of a 64GB storage.
Common to both models, however, is the internal processor of build Trail X5 and a battery which is set at a capacity of 8400mAh.
With 2MP cameras on the front and back of the device (both variants) and a suport for the Stylus Pen, the 2GB variant is priced at $169 while the 4GB comes at $239

New video reveals three iPhone 7 variants in mock-ups

The high expectations we had for a very premium flagship smartphone has in part been filled with the launch of the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 device and sorry to say this but Samsung, you are not going to be hogging the headlines anymore. For now, though, our attention has to shift to another series of smartphones set to launch before the end of this year that would certainly cause another ripple in the industry – the iPhone 7 line-up.
Recently, we have been getting picture leaks, videos and mock-ups and as well, privileged information on the iPhone 7 and with this new video, we might have gotten more than we could ever bargain for with three mock-ups showing up claiming to be the iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Pro and iPhone 7 Plus. For one, this confirms that we would be having all three types present this year again and that should excite users already.
However, having been established by rumours and even tips from @evleaks that there would be only 2 iPhone models this year, this makes us doubt the authenticity of this video a little and the models shown might have just been from the earlier stage of development.
The better details of the device such as the camera, antenna and headphone jack to mention but a few can be seen better in this video so for that, we have a win.

Samsung in the works over a Galaxy On7(2016)

It has been over a month since we saw on GFXBench that the remake of the Samsung Galaxy On7 device for the year 2016 would be sporting a QUALCOMM snapdragon processor and right now, another source, GeekBench, has let leak that we should be expecting another variant of the device that would be running instead on the internally made Exynos chip. This leak from GeekBench confirms that the Exynos chip variant would be the 7870 chipset and would also pack 3GB of RAM among other things.
The device is currently appearing with a model number SM-G610F and for now, its final destination has to be the Indian market. from a listing that was seen on Zauba, this variant is also expected to carry a rear fingerprint sensor.
The earlier spotted snapdragon processor variant of the device is also expected to head into another Asian market, China to be precise, an all other specs in both devices are expected to remain same.

Galaxy Note7 to have a 6GB/128GB version after all

All the way back in February, when the Samsung Galaxy Note7 was still months away, a rumor started that it would pack 6GB of RAM. It lived on in the months that came despite piling evidence against it, and after the announcement a few days ago, we now know for a fact that the phablet has just 4GB of operating memory.
Only there might be more to this story, the latest episode coming from an update to the TENAA listing for the Note7. The Chinese telecom regulator has just added a remark that there will be a version with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.

Notes have traditionally one-upped their respective S-series counterpart from the same year in terms of specs and for a minute there it appeared that the Note7 would put an end to that. Well, maybe not.
When, where and at what price this top-trim Galaxy Note7 will appear are obviously not questions that can be answered at this point.
